ArtLab for Teens. Summer 2007

Applications now being accepted!

July 30 through August 3
11 am to 2:30 pm

The Hirshhorn invites aspiring young artists to transform the Museum's ArtLab into a working studio space. This intensive, five-day program gives high school students the opportunity to engage with peers, artists, and curators as they respond to objects from the collection.

Sam_moyer
Artist Samantha Moyer leads the workshop, introducing teens to a variety of alternative artmaking techniques. Students will step outside the more traditional modes of expression, such as drawing and painting, and experiment with a variety of methods and materials as they develop and create projects motivated by specific personal interests. Students from local schools, grades 9 through 12, are eligible. No previous art experience is necessary, and all materials are provided by the Hirshhorn.
